| Abstract | Purpose: This study seeks to explore the factors that affect the satisfaction of fourth-year high school students in Heilongjiang Province, China. Gaining a deeper understanding of these factors will offer valuable insights for enhancing the quality of education and enriching students' overall academic experience. Research design, data and methodology: A quantitative research design was adopted and utilizing survey data collected from a sample of 550 male fourth-year high school students in Heilongjiang Province. The questionnaire measured key variables, including the quality of academic staff, school facilities, curriculum relevance, and student support services. To examine the relationships between these factors and student satisfaction, structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed for data analysis. Results: The analysis revealed that curriculum relevance and access to academic resources and had the most significant positive impact on student satisfaction. The quality of academic staff and school facilities also contributed to satisfaction but to a lesser degree. The model demonstrated strong reliability, with factor loadings and goodness-of-fit indices meeting acceptable thresholds. Conclusions: The findings suggest that enhancing the quality of curriculum and access to academic resources are key to increasing student satisfaction in high school education in Heilongjiang Province. Educational policymakers should prioritize these areas to ensure a more enriching learning experience for students. |
