Abstract | The purposes of this research were to study the concentrated language encounter approach and activity-based learning ontheThai language writing skills of first grade students and to compare the Thai language writing skills of first grade students between students who study intheconcentrated language encounter approach and activity-based learning withstudents in a control group. The subjects were first grade student of Rachawinit school, Primary Educational Service Area in academic year2018. There were 30 students in both the experimental group and control groupwith a total of 60 students. The research instruments were the concentrated language encounter approach and activity-based learning plans. The research instruments used for data collection was aThai language skills test. Then,the results were analyzed by using arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test. The results of the study revealed that first grade students who study in the concentrated language encounter approach and activity-based learning have higher writing skills than those who do not,with a statistical significance at .05 level. Moreover,students’writing skills were not different between first grade students who study in the concentrated language encounter approach and activity-based learning and the students in control group,with a statistical insignificance at .05 level. |
