Abstract | This descriptive study aimed to: 1)study the present and desirable states of Thai teachers in the Singapore International School of Bangkok based on educational technology standards for educators as teachers; and 2)propose approaches for developing Thai teachers in the Singapore International School of Bangkok based on educational technology standards for educators as teachers. The population was the Singapore International School of Bangkok and its campuses. The research instruments were rating scaled questionnaires and rating scaledappropriability and possibility evaluation forms. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, mean(M), standard deviation(SD), PNI modified,mode,and content analysis.The results showed thatthe present state overallwasat thehigh level, and the desirable state overall was at the highest level.Further, the first priorityof theneeds index was the learners, and the secondof thepriority needs index was the leaders;,whilethe last priority of the needs index was the collaborators. There are three approaches for developing Thai teachers at theSingapore International School of Bangkok based on educational technology standards for educators as teachers. The approaches,sorted by priority needs index,are: 1) to develop the learners by e-learning, training,and practice; 2) to develop leaders by mentoring, coaching,and action-based learning; and 3) to developcollaborators by coaching,study trips,and mentoring. |
