Abstract | The purpose of this research was to propose an approach toward teacher retention in private schools. This research is qualitative, and data was collected by interviewing one principal and three teachers from Preeyachot School, which has a 90% retention rate. The data was analysed by content analysis. The results of the research indicated 3 levels of teacher retention as follows: (1) Individual Factor: teachers receive fair compensation and are well-respected, (2) Group Factor: teachers experience social well-being and teamwork, and receive feedback from a supervisory board, as well as a supportive culture among the teachers themselves, and (3) Organization Factor: school policy, performance, and leadership are all elements in the management of the school, resulting in good governance and provision of facilities that support the work of all teachers. |
