Abstract This was descriptive research with the objective to study the current state and offer suggestions for developing academic management for the transition between Kindergarten and Grade 1 of Bannumcha School based on the concept of effective teacher collaboration. The informants of this research consisted of four people: a school director, an academic department teacher, a teacher from Grade 1, and a Kindergarten teacher. The semi-structured interview form, which the informants scored the current state and offered suggestion of ways of development, was chosen as the research tool. The data were analyzed by mean and content analysis. The results found that the average variables were joint responsibility and flexible expectations. The low variables consisted of shared goals, common planning, frequent communication and reliable records.
