| Abstract | After the release of Black Myth: Wukong, its translational communication sparked widespread discussion on Weibo. Eigenvector centrality was applied to identify opinion leaders, while LDA topic modeling and analyses of morphological, syntactic, and semantic similarities were used to explore the potential connections between opinion leaders and public discussion topics from both causal and correlative perspectives. The results show that opinion leaders play multiple roles — including agenda initiators, information disseminators, and opinion shapers — throughout the spread of discussion, which encourages deeper public engagement with translational communication, strengthens cultural identity and confidence, and significantly enhances participation in the discourse. Drawing on agenda-setting theory, the analysis further reveals the guiding influence of opinion leaders in the construction and diffusion of online public opinion, offering new insights for understanding the dynamics of translational communication in digital spaces. |
