| Abstract | This article analyzes the transformation of Thai families under the influence of globalization and digitalization, focusing on structural, economic, cultural, and intergenerational dimensions. Thai families have shifted from extended families to nuclear and diverse forms such as single-parent, blended, and same-sex families. Meanwhile, the digital economy and labor migration have created both opportunities and inequalities. Cultural values have moved toward gender equality and digital parenting, while digital technology has simultaneously enhanced connectivity and increased family vulnerability. The study reveals that Thai families face both positive and negative impacts, reflecting a dynamic interplay between cultural continuity and change. Policy recommendations include strengthening digital family skills, expanding inclusive welfare systems, and revitalizing the role of religion and local communities to support families in adapting to global transformations. |
