Abstract This investigation examines properties of rammed earth made from local materials in Kamphaeng Phet Province by utilizing three types of waste materials. The research tested laterite from decorative work, marble powder from mining operations, and sugarcane bagasse ash from sugar factories, each mixed at a 1:5 cement-to-soil ratio. Key findings show that laterite-based rammed earth achieved the highest compressive strength at 70.50 +/- 7.00 kg/cm2, while the marble powder mixture reached 38.50 kg/cm2, and the bagasse ash variant scored lowest at 22.50 kg/cm2. Optimal moisture contents varied by material: 12% for laterite, 16% for marble powder, and 18% for bagasse ash. The study concludes that material selection depends on preferences for naturalness, color, aesthetic appeal, and the unique charm of each material rather than engineering performance alone.
