| Abstract | This research developed an improved 200-liter kiln for household biochar and wood vinegar production. The enhanced condensation system enabled pyrolysis gas reuse as co-fuel. Results showed the new kiln produced biochar with higher calorific value (29.06 MJ/kg) compared to the traditional kiln (26.78 MJ/kg). FTIR analysis revealed functional group differences, while both wood vinegar products met Thai Community Product Standard specifications. The improved kiln required less production time and fuel consumption, enabling communities to reduce agricultural chemical dependency while supporting sustainable development goals. |
