| Abstract | The objectives of this study were to 1) examine personal, social, and economic factors, 2) examine knowledge of medical cannabis use, 3) examine readiness of medical cannabis use, 4) study personal social economic factors, exposure to information, knowledge of medical cannabis use, and readiness to use medical cannabis in Thailand. 400 respondents were interviewed by simple random sampling and using a questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.94. Statistics used in the analysis included mean percentage and standard deviation. Hypothesis tested by using the chi-square. The results found that respondents were male, average age 34.64 years, educated at bachelor’s degree level, had a permanent job, average income 40,255.70 baht/month, average expenses 20,581.75 baht/month, and average household members 4.15 people. Most of them received news from social media. They had a high level of knowledge of medical cannabis use, with an average of 30.16 scores. Their readiness to use medical cannabis was at a high level, with an average of 2.88. This included readiness in terms of gender, age, education, occupation, as well as family background, finances, and economics. Hypothesis testing found that education level, occupation, expenses, number of household members, and exposure to news were related to readiness to use medical cannabis in Thailand at a statistical significance level of .01. |
