Abstract | This research aimed to: 1) study the level of the performance competency of community development volunteers in Phibun Mangsahan district, Ubon Ratchathani province, and 2) study guidelines for developing the performance competency of community development volunteers in Phibun Mangsahan district, Ubon Ratchathani province. The sample consisted of 257 community development volunteers in Phibun Mangsahan district, Ubon Ratchathani province. The research instrument was questionnaire the performance competency of community development volunteers. Statistical analyses were performed using means, standard deviations, and content analysis. The research findings revealed that: 1) The performance competency of community development volunteers is overall at the high level. 2) Guidelines for developing the performance of community development volunteers include: Developing knowledge, skills and leadership characteristics, creativity, management, public consultation, establishing learning centers, driving the sufficiency economy, solving drug problems, new methods of community development, career promotion, coordination, communication, understanding of roles and responsibilities, teamwork, increasing roles in community development, organizing joint activities between the government, private sector and communities, encouraging people to love the main institutions of the nation, cooperating in providing information, conserving natural resources, following the principles of the sufficiency economy, daring to express opinions, participating in thinking, practicing and evaluating community development. |
