| Abstract | With over a billion mobile devices in use worldwide and nearly half a billion mobile applications on offer, software developers must make choices between developing one or more versions of native, hybrid or mobile web applications. This paper compares development approaches across these three options and compiles a set of criteria on platforms and devices that can be used in critical development decisions. Key issues for each application development approach are discussed, and a comparative analysis highlights the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. |
