| Abstract | This research aims to present a multi-objective optimization model for the Green Vehicle Routing Problem (GVRP), focusing on balancing operational costs and carbon footprint. The case study focuses on Boonthavorn Ceramic Co., Ltd., covering the delivery of goods from its Rangsit distribution center (DC) to 14 branches in locations such as Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, and Nakhon Ratchasima. The research methodology begins with an analysis of pallet demand and calculation of total distance. The results show that the optimal routing plan utilizes 5 transport vehicles, covering a total distance of 4,382.15 kilometers. Furthermore, an in-depth comparative analysis is performed between using diesel-engine and electric (EV) trucks, considering factors such as vehicle price, energy costs, and range limitations. EVs have a maximum range of 300 kilometers per charge. The study results indicate that... Although electric trucks have a higher initial purchase cost than diesel trucks (4.29 million baht vs. 3.07 million baht per unit), they can reduce total carbon dioxide emissions from transportation and have lower energy costs in the long run, especially when charging during off-peak hours. This research therefore provides crucial guidance for operators in making strategic decisions about fleet modification and route planning towards sustainable logistics. |
