| Abstract | This study is a descriptive research and the purpose of this research is to assess theneeds of academic management based on the concept of enhancing primary students’ problem solving skills. The case study was conducted at Phyathai School. The research instruments used in this study were a rating scaled questionnaire. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and PNImodified. The informants were 69 teachers at Phyathai School The findings showed that the overall present state and desirable state of the academic management based on the concept of enhancing students’ problem solving skills were at a high level (M= 3.797) and the highest level (M= 4.777), respectively. The overall priority was 0.257 (PNImodified= 0.257). The first priority was the developing of a school -curriculum. The second priority was the learning management. The third priority was the measurement and evaluation. The findings will make Phyathai School realize the needs of academic management for developing students’ problem solving skills. This will impact students’ learning directly.Further research should study the result of developing a curriculum geared toward checking the results of problem solving and the results of the learning management particularly in enhancing primary students’ problem solving skills. |
