| Abstract | PURPOSES: To review concept and operation procedure of Baan Mankong Sawanmuangmai Housing Project and to analyse the satisfaction of villagers in the project. METHODS: A documentary and sample survey research of 129 villagers living in the Baan Mankong Sawanmuangmai Housing Project. Questionnaire was used for data collection. RESULTS: Villagers living in the Baan Mankong Sawanmuangmai Housing Project were very satisfied with the overall operation of this housing project, except on the operation of rubbish disposal, community cleaning and conservation of environmental quality in the project area which was at a moderate level. The results of hypotheses testing revealed that gender and marital status did not significantly differ in their satisfaction with the operation of this housing project; while those with different age, education level and occupation differed in their satisfaction with the operation of this housing project at 0.05 level significantly. THEORETICAL/POLICY IMPLICATIONS: The Committee of Baan Mankong Sawanmuangmai Community should improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation of rubbish disposal, community cleaning and conservation of environmental quality in the project area. The government should increase the budget supporting the Community Organizations Development Institute (Public Organization) to enhance the operation of Baan Mankong Housing Project in all regions of Thailand. |
