| Abstract | This research aimed to analyze content of Thai political weblogs both Thai and English during 2011-2014 and to study the role of online political social media. The research found that the author of Thai political weblog with the most posts was Nidhi Eoseewong. Most political bloggers were specialized in history, political science, and social sciences. The most subject heading was political violence. Most posts did not have references with no any comment. If there was a comment, there was a supportive comment with an anonymous commenter. Most posts were reposted from other sources; Matichon Online (www.matichon.co.th) was the most reposted sources. Two major purposes for writing political weblogs are to criticize and to provide political information. Obviously. Thai political weblogs play 3 important roles in political communication, including being a source of Thai political news and information, being a source of Thai political critiques and viewpoints, and a public sphere for sharing political knowledge and experiences. |
