| Abstract | This qualitative research aimed to (1) examine the level of public knowledge and understanding of the dispute mediation process, (2) identify factors influencing such knowledge and understanding, and (3) propose guidelines to enhance public awareness and understanding. The study was conducted in Mueang Maha Sarakham District, Maha Sarakham Province, with 53 key informants. The findings revealed that most people had a basic understanding of the mediation process but still lacked an in-depth understanding of legal procedures. Factors influencing knowledge and understanding included educational level, direct experience, sources of information, and the role of personnel at dispute mediation centers. Appropriate approaches for strengthening public knowledge include organizing practical training workshops, disseminating information through online media, and conducting outreach activities using community leader networks. |
