Abstract | The objectives of this research were to: 1) Study the satisfaction with the management model of learner development activities to promote attitudes towards the political science profession among 12th grade students in the admission process for the bachelor's degree program at the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University; 2) Study the attitudes before and after participating in learner development activities to promote attitudes towards the political science profession among the aforementioned group of students. This research employed quantitative research methodology. The sample consisted of 55 12th grade students who participated in the Youth Political Science Camp organized by the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University. The research instrument was a 5-point rating scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, standard deviation, and inferential statistics such as t-test and One-Way ANOVA for comparing differences between groups. The research findings were as follows: 1) Students were highly satisfied with the management model of learner development activities (mean 4.66); 2) Students' attitudes towards the political science profession increased from a high level (mean 4.41) to the highest level (mean 4.58) after participating in the activities; 3) No statistically significant difference was found between genders in terms of satisfaction with the activities, but differences were found among students interested in different majors. Recommendations from the research suggest conducting long-term follow-up studies to assess the persistence of positive attitudes towards the political science profession, expanding the study to more diverse sample groups, and further investigating methods to make political science content more accessible to high school students. |
