| Abstract | The objective of this research is to examine the impacts of perceived risks and perceived values on Chinese consumers' purchase intention of NEVs. Unlike previous studies, this research examines both risk and value factors simultaneously using recent data from a large Chinese sample. This research utilized a quantitative survey research methodology administered through an online questionnaire. The population is consumers who intend to purchase a car within the next 2-3 years. The sample size of this research is 387. Multiple regression analysis was used to explore the impact of perceived risks (physical risk, financial risk, functional risk, social risk, and time risk) and perceived values (functional value, economic value, environmental value, social value, emotional value, and convenience value) on Chinese consumers' purchase intention of NEVs. The results show that physical risk and time risk negatively affect Chinese consumers’ purchase intention of NEVs. Conversely, financial risk and functional risk positively affect Chinese consumers’ purchase intention of NEVs. In addition, functional value, economic value, environmental value, social value, emotional value, and convenience value positively affect Chinese consumers’ purchase intention of NEVs. |
