| Abstract | The objective of this research is to study the beliefs derived from narratives concerning Phra Ratchawachirathammasophon (Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto) of Wat Phra That Muen Hin, Khao Wong District, Kalasin Province. Based on field research and documentary data collection, the research findings reveal that the narratives can be categorized into 5 types: 1. Narratives of sacred places 2. Narratives of sacred objects 3. Narratives of sacred individuals 4. Narratives of sacred animals and 5. Narratives of sacred plants. Furthermore, the associated beliefs are classified into 6 categories as follows: 1. Beliefs in individuals 2. Beliefs in sacred entities/powers 3. Beliefs in amulets and talismans 4. Beliefs in health and well-being 5. Beliefs in fortune and luck and 6. Beliefs in astrology. |
