This study aims to explore the causal relationships among creative leadership, work engagement, and organizational loyalty toward the effectiveness of sustainable performance at Thailand Post Co., Ltd. following its privatization. A quantitative approach was adopted, with a sample of 700 operational employees from the Bangkok Metropolitan Postal Office and 14 regional offices. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the statistical methods applied included: (1) descriptive statistics, such as mean and standard deviation, and (2) structural equation modeling (SEM). The conclusions from the quantitative analysis served as the basis for in-depth interviews with 10 senior executives of Thailand Post Co., Ltd.
The study synthesized relevant theories to develop a conceptual framework, focusing on creative leadership, which consists of imagination, vision, flexibility, and intelligence. The work engagement model includes dimensions such as feeling valued, perceiving organizational capability, recognizing roles and dedication, and integrating work into life. The organizational loyalty model comprises confidence in and acceptance of the organization’s goals and values, the desire to maintain membership, a sense of ownership, pride in being a member, and the communication of the organization’s reputation. The effectiveness of sustainable performance at Thailand Post Co., Ltd. model focuses on four aspects of sustainability: economic, social, corporate governance, and environmental dimensions. The quantitative results reveal that the correlation coefficients between creative leadership, work engagement, organizational loyalty, and effectiveness of sustainable performance range from 0.490 to 0.799, with statistical significance at the 0.01 level. The fit of the causal relationship model with the empirical data confirms alignment and consistency with the findings from in-depth interviews with senior executives. Additionally, the interviews reveal further insights, indicating that organizational values and culture significantly influence creative leadership, work engagement, and organizational loyalty at Thailand Post Co., Ltd.
